A Very Special St. Patrick’s Day

I will always think of St. Patrick’s Day as a day of joy rooted in faith. St. Patrick brought Christianity to Ireland in the 5th century and is the country’s patron saint. To those of us blessed to be born Irish, it is a day of celebration.

The St. Edward Guild celebrated the day by bringing lots of Irish joy and cheer to our friends at the Lourdes Noreen McKeen residence in West Palm Beach. We had a lovely event with the residents, and everyone enjoyed the traditional meal we served: corned beef, cabbage, shepherd’s pie and cake.

May the road rise up to meet you. May the wind be always at your back. May the sun shine warm upon your face, the rains fall soft upon your fields, and, until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of his hand.
