My 2026 Garden Adventure Begins!
If it’s May, it’s time to start planting my summer vegetable garden! This year, I’m planting potatoes, celery, eggplant, bell peppers, spinach, green beans, yellow squash, zucchini, watermelon and cantaloupes in the raised beds. My garden will be safe from rabbits and deer, and my dogs will patrol periodically.
Here are the cages ready for the peppers, eggplant and squashes:
Tomatoes are always the kings of the garden. This plant was started from seed during the winter and will have a head start on all the other vegetables. Judging by the size of it, I should have tomatoes before the Fourth of July!
