How Do We Get Out of Here?: Half a Century of Laughter and Mayhem at The American Spectator―From Bobby Kennedy to Donald J. Trump

By R. Emmett Tyrrell Jr.

I’ve never read such fascinating behind-the-scenes accounts of every major political event! It’s probably easier to list who Bob Tyrrell hasn’t met over the years, because he has crossed paths with everyone and gives a kind word to almost all.

The American Spectator is Bob’s creation, and it’s growth over the years enabled conservative voices to be heard and ideological battles to be fought. Bob gave countless young writers their start, and the success of the American Spectator inspired others to launch publications as well. We wouldn’t have roster of conservative publications if not for Bob’s vision and determination.
