I Feel Bad About My Neck:
And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman
by Nora Ephron
There are books we enjoy, but we don’t realize how much we’ll appreciate them years later. I strongly recommend Nora Ephron’s 2008 bestseller, I Feel Bad About My Neck: And Other Thoughts on Being a Woman, to all of my friends over 50.
Whether you’re reading it for the first time or re-reading it, it will make you smile and laugh in recognition. The part on maintenance rings true: takes a fair degree of humility to acknowledge that aging is a process we try to manage but never stop.
The other essays hit home as well, it does take the confidence of age to stop questioning your decisions and rely on your instincts.
