The St. Edward Guild Valentine Luncheon and Fashion Show

St. Edward Guild Valentine Luncheon

The annual St. Edward Guild Valentine Luncheon and Fashion Show was held on Tuesday, February 11, 2025 at The Beach Club, Palm Beach.   200 Guild members and their guests enjoyed a spectacular social hour, featuring a silent auction and raffle.

Elizabeth Ailes, Chair of this year’s event, welcomed attendees singing Neil Young’s famous ballad, “Heart of Gold.”  “This year’s Valentine theme, reflects the core mission of our Guild, which is to be focused on helping others with generosity, compassion and empathy,” she said.

Rt. Rev. Archimandrite Glen Pothier, who is Church Rector and Guild Advisor,  thanked the Women for their service to both the Parish and the Palm Beach Community, noting the Golden Rule is to do to others as you would, they should do to you.

The Fashion Show featured beautiful clothing and resort wear from Bloomingdale’s Palm Beach Garden store. This year’s models included Ailes ‘ grandson Henry, and his mother Emerson Ailes, Mary Bryant McCourt, a former Ford model, Dr. Tina Discepola, Anastasia Durden, Giselle Parry, Denise Richards, Anna Hines, Terry Phelan Ford, and Kristi Truong.

Luncheon Committee members were Guild President Joan Huff, Karen Beil, Jo Anne Burkholder, Carol Anne Casey, Anna D’Emilio, Madeline Fink, Anita Gabler, Katie Maiuccoro, Jane O’Sullivan, Kim Raich, Denise Richards, MaryLynn Rogers, Freddie Tonkovich, Kristi Truong and Molly Visnic.

The Saint Edward Guild supports the Faith Formation programs of the Parish including Catholic Education, charitable works in the diocese, and various community outreach programs.

The Palm Beach Daily News
The Palm Beach Daily News ran a lovely article (and some terrific photos) about the St. Edward Guild annual Valentine Luncheon and Fashion Show at the Beach Club. This photo, with Rt. Reverend Archimandrite Glen Pothier, is my favorite. This year’s Valentine theme reflected the core mission of the Guild: helping others with generosity, compassion and empathy.
