The Roger Ailes Collection
Our home has always been full of books. Roger was an avid student of all types of history throughout his life and he never tired of a new perspective on a hundred-year-old political campaign or a WW1 military battle.

Roger became a collector of items of significant historical importance: documents, letters, photographs, speeches, and books. Of course, he had a particular affinity for political and news media memorabilia, and I have more stored than I may ever be able to catalogue.

I have always felt privileged to have these beautiful and storied items in our home and I love showing them to visiting family and friends. However, I know there are so many other students of history, particularly young students, who will appreciate this collection and I am happy to be able to share them with Hillsdale College.

The current exhibit includes books, documents and letters spanning American history from President Lincoln to Irving Berlin. I encourage any lover of history to visit Hillsdale College’s Searle Center and enjoy this exhibit.
